Papers of Dora Mason, 1915-1994.

The collection contains Mason's autobiographical work, Adventures in making faces, correspondence, an interview, a scrapbook containing photographs and newspaper clippings, travel logs, and other biographical material and photographs. Also included are drafts of her stories, speeches, and poems as well as her art portfolio containing photographs of her many sculptures. Of particular importance is the material on her sculpture of an Old Amana woman now in the museum in Main Amana, Iowa, and her bust of the legendary University of Iowa football player and Heisman Trophy winner, Nile Kinnick.
